It was a typical day in the office Tuesday afternoon; other than the usual hustle and bustle of a busy day in the KeyMedia Solutions building, nothing seem out of the ordinary. That is, until our Advertising Operation Manager Paul Cesar received an email. It was short, but to the point. The email informed us that our submission for the 2015 Landy Awards had been named one of the finalist in our category.
Needless to say, the office buzzed with excitement as everyone waited to see the post, and just before 5:00 PM that day, the finalist for the 2015 Landy Awards were announced.
Our SEM campaign for 1st Tribal Lending was named one of the three finalist for the Landy Award in the Best Overall SEM Initiative (Small Business) category. Celebrating agencies and marketers with awards in 12 different categories, the ceremony will take place during the AFTER DARK evening reception at the SMX East conference in New York City on September 30th.
What are the Landy Awards?
“Search Engine Land has created “The Landy Awards” to recognize individuals, agencies and internal marketing teams within the digital marketing community who have demonstrated excellence in executing organic and paid search marketing initiatives.” – Search Engine Land
The inaugural Landy Awards ceremony will be held during Search Engine Land’s SMX East conference in New York City. The SMX conference tour is the world largest search marketing conference series, and with event locations in London, Paris, and Jerusalem (along with other places across the globe), the event in New York City is one of the few events inside the United States.

The entire event is for charity. All the profits from the entry fees, sponsors, and ceremony ticket sales will be donated to charity. This year’s charities that are being honored are BeTheMatch.org and CODE.org.
The Landy Award ceremony is held in conjunction with Third Door Media who has also guaranteed a minimum of $5,000 donation after event expenses.

We are extremely honored to have been selected as a finalist for this award and can’t wait for the award ceremony at the end of the month. We will be sending members of our team to attend the ceremony and (hopefully) accept the award.
